Day 6: MBNYFW Fall 2012 Collections
By ChalleBrown on February 15, 2012Today’s Fall 2012 Collections at MBFW were phenomenal. J.Crew’s mixed prints, Vera Wang’s “Sheer elegance”, Dennis Basso fabulous furs, Norisol Ferrari’s “ferocious femininity” and Badgely Mischka’s sensual designs are all must see videos. Naeem Khan’s Indian inspired collection featuring a blend of ancient artistic techniques had everything that I adore in a collection; class, sophistication with a bit of edginess and a [...] -

Day 1: MBFW Fall 2012 Collections
By ChalleBrown on February 10, 2012As the videos came streaming in from the first day of MBFW, I was pleasantly impressed. Nicholas K’s Fall 2012 collection was a mixture of grunge and “Old Wild, Wild West” while Candela brought an element of elegant boho chic to fashion week. Honor and Tadashi Shoji collections were sophisticated and red-carpet worthy, two favorites. Chadwick Bell reminded me of a flirty [...] -

Peter Som Spring/Summer 2012 Collection
By ChalleBrown on September 13, 2011Peter Som’s spring summer 2012 collection caught my attention. It is truly chic and flawless. Love the use of rich hues and prints, with subtle color blocking. The flapper inspired dress and skirt and the maxis in the last for pictures are so beautiful. Gosh, I could stare at clothes for days. This may be more fun than actually being [...] -

Day 3: MBFW Fall 2011 Collections [Videos]
By SP on February 13, 2011Wow, Prabal Gurung & Binetti were my favorite of this bunch. Though the latter designer only presented, I loved the glitz and glam in his collection, the leopard prints, tunics.. etc. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved Charlotte Ronson! Jill Stuart was fun. It was almost 70s psychedelic with the colors and patterns. Adam seemed very tailored and bit too serious [...] -

Day 2: MBFW Fall 2011 Collections [Videos]
By SP on February 12, 2011It was hard to try to pick a favorite. Mara Hoffman was nice. Loved the turbans, tribal prints and ethnic influences. I’d definitely wear the tux inspired pieces from Ruffian’s collection, but the best, in my opinion, was the finale dress. the long, fitted, black sequins gown. Wow! Favorite piece from the Minkoff show was the leopard print jumpsuit. Loved [...] -

The Ralph Lauren 4D Experience
By SP on December 3, 2010Still in awe and thinking about The Ralph Lauren 4D experience, so I decided to post it up for those that haven’t seen it. Technology, social media, and virtual parties seems to be the way forward for the fashion industry. And who can forget the first ever twitter live style show by UK designer, Ted Baker? It was a hit. [...] -

Adam Spring 2011 Collection #MBFW
By SP on September 12, 2010I really fell inlove with this collection. There’s nothing has special as seen pieces you can actually wear in your everyday life coming down the runway in a fashion show. The #1 complaint about most shows is that a lot of the pieces are not exactly ideal, practical or wearable. That isn’t the case with the Adam Spring 2011 collection. [...]
