  • Raf Simons’ First Dior Campaign Debut

By Raihana on January 4, 2013
The first Dior ready-to-wear ad campaign under the direction of Raf Simons has finally hit the web. Photographed by Willy Vanderperre and featuring models Daria Strokous, Marie Piovesan, Daiane Conterato and Anna Martynova, the campaign images are quite different from the dramatic style of John Galliano and take a somewhat Surrealist approach,  influenced by René Magritte. What do you think? Enjoy!

  • Linea Piu Boutique in Mykonos, Greece

By SP on September 6, 2012
If I had a physical clothing store, it will look a little like the Linea Piu boutique located in Mykonos (one of Greece’s most famous islands). Granted, the store carries some of the highest end women’s wear brands in the luxury retail market: Chanel, Tom Ford, John Galliano, Blumarine…etc., however, the space itself is so captivating and reminiscent of an [...]

  • Christian Dior RTW A/W 2011 Lookbook

By ChalleBrown on September 6, 2011
I believe every era is being represented this A/W 2011 fashion season. Dior’s fall 2011 collection is reminiscent of the 1950’s but was actually inspired by English socialites and romance. As John Galliano’s final Dior collection, this lookbook screams playful sophistication. It’s really sad to see such a talented designer end his career with Dior under such tragic circumstances. Enjoy [...]

  • Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2011

By ChalleBrown on May 17, 2011
I love everything about Christian Dior’s Haute SS 2011 Couture line. The final spring collection from designer, John Galliano. I am a sucker for vintage clothing so it’s no surprise that I am fascinated with the “Old Hollywood” theme that walked down the runway. The petticoats, gloves and the hairstyles. In my mind, I am envisioning the pictures in black and white, with the [...]

  • Christmas Tree by John Galliano for Dior

By SP on December 14, 2009
John Galliano created a Christmas tree for the Claridge’s hotel in London. Galliano’s tree is meant to be a frozen twist on the traditional Christmas tree. It is a frozen tropical tree which contains a snow leopard, dragon flies and parrots. The partnership with John Galliano and Dior was the first time in Claridge’s 112-year history that it has worked [...]

  • Not Your Mama’s Supermodel.

By SP on May 18, 2009
Who is she? Chanel Iman. Why is she relevant? Because this 19 year old is about to snatch the crowns from Naomi and Iman (whom she is named after).   After bursting on the scene 3 years ago, Chanel Iman is quickly becoming the next black supermodel. Why should you continue to watch out for her? Not only is she gorgeous [...]

  • Art On Heels: Check Out These 2009 Fabs

By SP on April 20, 2009
Designers have gotten really creative over the years. They have taken their art of shoe designing to greater levels and I appreciate it. These shoes are so great, I can frame them and hang them up on my wall as art. See for yourself… This was used at the Aminaka Wilmont Show during London Fashion Week. Lanvin Jean-Pierre Braganza Omelle [...]

  • Ari @ Elle Style Awards

By SP on February 12, 2009
So last night it was time for the Elle Style Awards 2009 in London. It was a dreary and very rainy night but the celebs turned out regardless, and like a true fashionista, I threw on my heels and joined them for the party. Here’s how the night turned out… I wore a blue satin dress with an oversized corsage [...]
