Roksanda Ilincic Resort 2014 Collection

2013 marks the 10 year anniversary since Serbian designer Roksanda Ilincic’s Fashion Week debut. In the time since, she has built quite a name for herself, dressing Michelle Obama, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Lady Gaga, just to name a few. She has also branched out into childrenswear, and worked with the 2012 London Olympics.

Her commendable resume is not questioned when you look at the elegance and fine tailoring of her garments. Issa Resort 2014 Collection

London-label Issa, a Kate Middleton favorite, has just released their Resort 2014 Collection. Issa has very recently transitioned creative directors, with this collection being the first launch since Blue Farrier (formerly of Chloe) took over.

Fausto Puglisi Resort 2014 Collection

There was no shortage of bright colors and palm tree prints in Fausto Puglisi’s resort lineup. The silhouettes featured flared and asymmetrical skirts with oversized coats that gave off a retro feel.

In his own words he describes the collection as, “if a skater from Venice fell in love with Tippy Hedren in ‘The Birds.’” Enjoy!

Lanvin Resort 2014 Collection

Lanvin’s Resort 2014 collection contained a lot of what you would expect from Lanvin: a collection heavy on dresses, bright jewel tones, and structured volume.

However, there was much juxtaposition seen as the collection also contained softly draped elements and more subdued colors as well, and even a touch of metallic here and there. Taken as a whole the pieces are amazing, though at times it seems a little hard to envision them together as a whole creating a collection.

We are amazed by these origami arts by Hanoi-based artist Nguyễn Hùng Cường! He began folding paper around the age of five and has not stopped since, creating his own original designs out of a handmade Vietnamese paper called Do.
