Suzan Drummen’s Kaleidoscopic Floor Art

We are very impressed by the work of Dutch artist Suzan Drummen. The artist uses mirrors, metals, crystal, glass, and precious stones to create mosaic-like 3-D carpets.

The most amazing part? The elements are completely loose – not attached or secured to the floor in any way. We aren’t sure how she manages to work such giant intricacies with so much precision, but it sure makes us appreciate the results that much more. That’s a carpet for my grandmothers “good living room”, it would go well with the furniture you can’t sit on 😉
