God Save The Queen: Vogue Paris August 2013

Check out this captivating editorial for Vogue Paris, dubbed God Save The Queen. In the spread, Anja Rubik simultaneously portrays two very different fashion icons: The very proper Queen of England, (or more specifically the late Princess Diana,) and the subversive mascot for the counter culture: The Punk.

Rubik is styled in juxtaposing looks from the fall collections of Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Chloe, and Saint Laurent just to name a few. Otherwise lady like gowns get the punk treatment, and are transformed with the addition of  leather jackets, ripped stockings, and combat boots. This editorial just goes to show us that there’s a little punk in every lady, and vice versa. Enjoy!
