For the Resort 2014 Collection, Balmain’s Oliver Rousteing played around with contradictions. Masculine silhouettes, such as oversized bomber jackets, contrasted with feminine miniskirt hemlines.
Hard leather and chain accents met soft embroidered details and lace textiles. Houndstooth, plaid, and head-to-toe denim may seem like elements of 90s rock and roll revisited, but the polished, clean cut models felt anything but grunge. All in all, a winning look book from Balmain. Enjoy…x
