Finding the right pair of shoes is a lot easier when you can make them yourself. From scratch. Without electricity.
That’s the way that Raul Ojeda makes his bespoke footwear, and it’s the way that he learned from his mentor, Willie Rivera. Ojeda started apprenticing at Willie’s Shoe Service in 2004, and three years later bought the business from Rivera. In 2010, he opened the doors on his new venture, Don Ville, and in 2011 opened his first shop on La Brea.
He does a bang up job, as you can see here, and fueled by the recent craze of local craftsmanship in LA, has quickly risen as one of LA’s premier bespoke shoemakers.
