If you are a long time SP reader, you already know that I never pack up my maxi dresses/skirts when the season changes. I wear them all year round.
In cold weather, I layer up–it actually gives you the extra warmth from the waist up.
Here I wore a leather t-shirt over the dress and added a somewhat funky Jacket for an edge!
