Striped Button Up Shirt + Tribal Maxi Skirt

I have had this skirt for years. It was originally a dress when I ordered it online, but when it arrived, it wasn’t what I envisioned so I changed it to a skirt.

Paired with a basic striped button-up shirt from J.Crew (old) and vintage men’s belt.

Shirt: I’m sure you already have something similar in your closet

Skirt Option 1 (extra 20% off w/code SAVE) | Option 2 (gorgeous print) | Option 3 (similar to mine) | Option 4 (vintage-ish).

Bag – gifted by American Apparel. Necklace/Bracelet/Ring – gifted by my dear friend Melody Ehsani.

Again. Nailed it. I love how you put this menswear shirt with that amazing floral maxi skirt. The belt makes it cool and funky. You are seriously the best at what you do.

Thank you so much. Charlene Bowery-Benjamin it’s an option especially if your maxi dress isn’t long enough. Just DIY into a skirt 🙂 Tameka Grant I don’t have a specific place. I share it all in my outfit posts. Thanks again, beauties.

I have this maxi skirt… as the original maxi dress. I don’t wear it, but you have definitely inspired me. I may cut it up and give it a second chance. 🙂

I have this maxi skirt… in the original maxi dress form. I don’t even wear it, but after seeing this post… I need to retrieve it from my closet. I will defnitely be looking into turning it into a maxi skirt and trying this style!

@CandaceSmith Hi Candace, what store did you buy this dress from? What is the name of the dress?

      • CandaceSmith July 19, 2012

@La_Lady Apologies for the delay in responding to you. I bought this maxi dress at Forever21, but that was at least 4 years ago (if not longer) :-/ And I don’t believe it had a specific name, although it may have at the time, but I can not recollect it.
