It’s amazing how fashion & style comes back full circle. This peplum look has been around for years. In fact, one of the reasons I love it so much is because it’s a traditional and cultural style back home (Nigeria).
The peplum blouse is often paired with a wrap (similar to a wrap around skirt), a-line or pencil skirt and tons of beaded accessories.
This particular piece was gifted to me by romwe.com (my pick). Get yours here. I will style it with a maxi pencil skirt next time, but today, I wore it with a pair of yellow, super high waist flare jeans from UO – The price has dropped to over half off here.
Have you purchased any peplum piece? What are your thoughts on the trend? Enjoy…xx

I’m not sure about peplums yet…It looks fabulous on you, I love the color combo, but I don’t know if it’d work so well on me, haha! I guess we’ll have to see if I find a peplum piece I’d be willing to try 🙂

I think the peplum style is flattering on all body types. Give it a shot 🙂
Love the peplums. My mom always wore them, even before they made their full circle and came back to the currrent fashion trend. Peplums are brilliant and give an amzing shape to women of all sizes/shapes. I just adore this entire look. Bravo Folake.
Love the peplums its a classic look, reminds me of Dynasty and Knots Landing. How about Silk wide leg pants this season are they in? I found a nice opair at the goodwill…

This is such a pretty look! I’m into vintage so the peplum is definitely a fave. I attempted to make a peplum jacket a couple of months ago. It didn’t turn out exactly as I had envisioned. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t really good either. So I plan to try again soon.
The way the Nigerian women wear peplum sounds really pretty. You will get it. Keep trying. I’m with you, it’s a hard one to get right the first few times 🙂
