Plaid Shirt + 70s High Waist Twill Wide Leg Pants

Yesterday, I shared pictures of these pants and other items on facebook & twitter. A special package came in from American Apparel that I can’t wait to feature.

They gifted me with clothes to wear to to the upcoming Beverly Hills Fashion Night Out.

I tried on these 70s high waist (stretch twill wide leg pants), one of the items in the package and immediately fell in love. Now, if you look at the model on the site, it’s fitted on her. I went up a size because I wanted the trouser fit & a longer length.

Besides, once I wash them, they will probably shrink a little. And can I just say that the blood orange pair is so freaking sexy on?

I am carrying the Large Leather Carry-All Pouch also from American Apparel. Hollister shirt, and LindaLu Designs fringe necklace. Enjoy..xx

PS – Let me know if you have further questions about these jeans. I’m happy to help.

Love your pose in the 1st pic! Love this outfit and each piece of it, too.
And your touches of funk w/the animal print shoes and fringe necklace. Love!
    I must remember this. =)
    You’re working it, Lady!

Thank you, Ayesha. I hope this has helped in your decision. They are truly my favorite cut in 70s style jeans.

I’m going to go try these on today. I hope they look this good on me. You look incredible. I love the plaid shirt tied up like that too. Very cute. What’s it like getting gifts of clothes? I can’t even imagine.

How awesome does this outfit look on you! I love how perfect the length of the trousers are! You are one lucky lady to have AA send you some loot!!!

Aw, thank you, Prissy! I’m humbled by my blessings. Appreciate it.

Well that shirt is awesome, and so are the pants. Lucky you! I love the fringed necklace too, I have such a thing for fringed bags and necklaces, and surprisingly the only fringed item that I own is a fringe necklace that I DIY’d myself, lol.

Thank you, D. I would love to see your DIY fringe necklace. You should email me a photo 🙂 xx

I will gladly send you a picture of it for you to see, it was actually one of the quickest easiest DIY’s I’ve done, and it is now one of my favorite necklaces. I need to wear it more often before winter strikes and I have to wear either turtle necks or scarfs instead! 🙂

Luv those trousers, but I’m short so I don’t know if they would work for me.
Who knew American Apparel had such awesome stuff??

    • Style Pantry August 31, 2011 Reply

It will work, Sharla. As mentioned above, wear sky high platforms or have them shortened. There is absolutely no height or age limitations on these 🙂

Great look. I’m going to get them. I love love high waist pants. My issue is I am only 5’2. You think I can pull them off with a pair of sky high platforms???

    • Monique August 30, 2011 Reply

Age is just numbers, i think you can. I can see you rocking it already. 🙂

    • Style Pantry August 31, 2011 Reply

Ingrid, you can definitely pull them off with sky high platforms. I have on platforms too 🙂 I refuse to get them shortened. xx

I absolutely love the look! I always think I am a little “old” to be rocking AA, but the trousers work. I love the color of the bag also!
