Haute Coutrure Collection by Iris Van Herpen

At the Paris Couture shows for Fall Winter 2012, the guests were treated to the amazing debut presentation of Iris Van Herpen.

The 27 year old designer from the Netherlands, who has interned for the likes of Alexander McQueen and Claudy Jongstra.

For me fashion is an expression of art that is very closely related both to me and to my body. I see it as an expression of identity combined with desire, moods and a cultural setting.  – Iris Van Herpen.

This is definitely the perfect interpretation of fashion imitating art.
