Calypso St. Barth Kaftan + Birthday Boy

I mentioned in yesterday’s outfit post that it was Greg’s birthday. I knew it was a going to be a long day, so I opted for the most comfortable outfit.

I went for a kaftan. It’s a 100% silk and from the Calypso St. Barth for Target collection. I posted the collection here in April. It comes with a belt as you’ll see if you click on the link, but I got rid of it. I just want to be completely free and at ease.

I ditched the heels and sandals for a pair of biker boots. Oh yes!

My husband is a foodie. In fact, he is the reason we started Taste Pantry. He does 90% of the cooking at home because he enjoys it, loves colors, and is big on presentation. He also wants to open a restaurant soon.

So I wasn’t surprised when he asked to spend the first part of the day at the Farmer’s Market. We shopped for fresh fruit/veggies and ate brunch.

After brunch, we went to Sur La Table to shop for some birthday gifts for him. He is so into kitchen gadgets and accessories. We spent a couple of hours at the store and it totally made his day.

After eating/shopping, we went for an hour massage at this ‘hole in the wall’ place on Robertson, Blvd. in Beverly Hills. It’s so hidden and I don’t even think it has a name. It’s quite good, though. They work your body from head to toe.

Me.. After the massage. Greg was so out of it, he wasn’t in the mood for a picture. We went off to Century City after, then picked up the kids, had dinner and of course, red velvet cake to end the night well. It was a blast.

Thank you all for all your kind comments and birthday wishes. xo

Awwww, thank you soooo much :) I made the necklace - out of another broken neck piece. So you can call it two necklaces in one :D xxx

Eboni, this will look so damn gorgeous on. The colors on your skin??? Bliss. We had a great time. Thank you. Yes, I'm egging him on too. He is such a passionate cook, and good at it. Much love. x

Sounds like he and you had a great time on his birthday! Wishing him the best on his future restaurant. And yes, I can see he's serious about cooking spending part of his b'day at the market and Sur la Table. Truly a cook at heart. Did you all purchase the tangine oven?.... Btw, love the caftan and its color! Muah!!

Thank you so much, Cheris. Yes, we purchased the tangine. I'll keep you posted on the adventures of its use. He is so backed up on posts on Taste Pantry. He has over 20 meals/recipes he is yet to publish. Sigh! I guess the day job & family comes first.. Haha. Hugs and kisses your way.

So sweet, I wish you all the best!

Thank you, Zalika. So kind of you. Appreciate it.
