Sheer Shirt + Ankle Length Skinnies + Neon Ballet Flats

Hey, Lovies! Hope you all are enjoying and having a blessed weekend.

I was going through my shoe collection, and didn’t realize how many pairs of flat shoes/sandals I have.

Then it occurred to me that I went through a phase (when I worked in corporate years ago), where I’d only wear flats because I worked in downtown and walked a lot.

This was after many years of wearing heels. In college, my friend Christine thought I was mildly insane. We joke about how I always “dressed” up, even if it was an 8 a.m. class. Haha. To me, I was just being myself.

Long story short, thank God for platforms. Makes it easier for me to wear heels again.

I still wear flats. It depends on the outfit, mood, etc. I love wearing converse or sandals with maxis and suits or “dressy” type outfits to make it look relaxed.

I relate to your story. In college, I was the girl who wore 3+ inch heels (tolerating pain for style) 365 days/year. Heels were my besties because they added a few inches to my 5 foot height. It became an inside joke that people knew I was about to arrive, as they could hear me clicking from several feet away. Those days of sacrifice are over! My feet and wedges, platform pumps and stacked heels have a great relationship. And since becoming a mom, I've gained an appreciation for flats, as it's a must for running after a two-year old boy. Aw, thank you so much for your kind words, VanC. It really is hard to run after kids in heels. I have three and fully understand that the flats come in handy :) My platforms have been surprisingly comfortable to run around in, though. But yes, days of suffering in the name of fashion are ovahhhh! :)
