World’s Largest Luxury Champagne Bottle

This post was inspired by my friend, Kemi, who just loves champagnes. We just celebrated her birthday and literally lost count of the amount of veuve clicquot ponsardin brut bottles we had in there. At the end of the night, people were taking a bottle home with them.

Armand de Brignac has released the world’s largest bottle of luxury champagne. The Midas bottle is a massive 30-liter vessel equivalent to 40 regular-sized 750ml bottles. It weighs 100 pounds.

Each metallic bottle, inspired by famed fashion designer Andre Courreges, is crafted entirely by hand and bears two Ace of Spades insignias and four hand-applied pewter labels. The bottle is housed in a black wooden case embossed with the Champagne’s royal crest. Each box is lined in velvet and fitted with an engraved nameplate.

The first Midas bottle of Armand de Brignac was sold for $100,000 at the nightclub XS in Las Vegas’ Encore casino, part of Steve Wynn’s Wynn Hotels group.
