I would love to live in a space like this. Old, vintage, rusty. I will have so much fixing it up and fun furniture shopping. And a freaking dance floor as my living room. Why not? According to Yatzer, this is a renovation of an abandoned men’s club which is now a home! 47 year old David Hurlbut bought this property a year ago, after he found it on historicproperties.com. And guess what? He paid less than $100k and he the span of 10 years, has only spend $150k on it.
Kudos to Hurlbut for preserving the architectural details. He left the walls as is..unfinished and preserved the chipped, faded paint by sealing the walls with clear glossy polyurethane paint. J’adore! Enjoy..
Very nice! I also love that he preserved the architectural details but the old, peeling paint and darkness gives it a spooky vibe, lol!
