Lodekka Vintage Shop On Wheels

This is the coolest thing. OK, I think I say that pretty often, but come on.. check this. This double-decker bus is on the corner of Williams and Failing in northeast Portland, OR. It’s a newly-restored bus that sits/stands as a vintage shop. And if you are wondering where the name comes from, the bus is a 1965 Bristol Lodekka that the owner, Erin Sutherland found and renovated with the help of her friends, ripping out chairs and scraping off wallpaper paste. Erin lost her job six months ago and birthed this incredible idea while searching for her next move. “I have the greatest job in the world,” said the owner, Erin Sutherland, who restored the bus with the help of a few friends and converted it to a vintage shop, now called Lodekka.

Lodekka has a Facebook page and a Twitter account. The shop is open Thursday through Saturday, 11am to 6pm and Sunday noon to 5pm. For more information, check out Lodekka’s website.
