Just in from the folks at Oki-ni, Damir Doma is the next big thing to look out for. The Croatian born designer studied fashion in Munich and Berlin where he graduated in 2004 with magna cum laude for the best collection. In 2006, Doma launched his own label, and debuted at Paris Fashion week in 2007. His collections to date are thoughtful and sensitive; sheer fabrics, draped silhouettes and subtle fluidity. Inspired by multiple expressions of identity and fragile ephemeral qualities of the body his pieces explore contemporary interpretations of masculinity. Oki-ni told us that they are just about to launch their next Archive installment with a representation of Damir Doma from his first collection in AW07 right through to a preview of the SS10 buy.
