Onna Ehrlich, who is a dear friend to Style Pantry, burst on the fashion scene in 2004 with a unique accessory line inspired by her African roots. From handbags hand made with vibrant, lush leathers in variety of colors to unbelievable snake skin belts, Ehrlich was able to take her Nigerian heritage and combine it with the laid back sophistication of California.
Her collection is constantly evolving, but it always includes handbags made from carefully chosen fabrics, leather and custom hand-done beadwork made in USA.
In less than two years, Onna has quickly become a designer to watch, in addition to features in fashion and design magazines, she also has a growing bevy of fashionable celebrity clients like Halle Berry, Lindsay Lohan, Marcia Cross, Sophia Bush, Eva Longoria and many more.
The graduate of the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California is also concerned about her homeland and donates a portion of the proceeds from the Onna Ehrlich collection to Breast Cancer Research Foundation and AIDS projects.
We love Onna’s work and have a few collections in our style closet. You will get to see more of her here on Style Pantry. From sample sales, to the launch of a new collection. Stay tuned!
