As July 20 marks the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11′s first lunar landing, Louis Vuitton celebrates by creating a trunk designed with a trip to Mars in mind. The trunk opens up to unveil compartments for all of kinds of space necessities. Along side other NASA photographs, space toys, sculptures and astronomy photos, the trunk is on view today as LV celebrates the lunar landing’s anniversary with a party at the Rose Center for Earth and Space at the American Museum of Natural History.
