I am in love with this site: Uniqlo Parka Style 1000 Fashion Map. That’s probably due, in part, to the fact that one of my interactive design heroes, Yugo Nakamura is responsible for designing the site. They just don’t get much better than Yugo. True to form, this site is innovative, and is quite clever. Once all of the images have loaded (don’t worry, it’s only a few minutes), you watch as the people on the screen pass parkas from left to right through moving pictures. The people are in different locations, and are handing and receiving different parkas, but the timing is so well synced, you’re bound to be impressed with the end result.
Click around and be sure to play with the maps. Yugo has executed yet another high-touch concept site for a consumer brand. Kudos to him and his team, and kudos to Uniqlo (check the main parka site) for being brave enough to embrace innovation.
Oh yeah, and the music kicks serious Seasame Street ass. Love it!
